South Florida

Herpetological Society

Welcome to the

South Florida Herpetological Society!

The South Florida Herpetological Society (SFHS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the conservation and understanding of reptiles and amphibians.  Our officers are all volunteers with a passion for reptiles.

Our monthly meetings are family friendly, and all ages and interests are welcome to attend.  SFHS members include reptile & amphibian (also known as herps) enthusiasts, keepers, breeders, educators, field herpers and those interested in learning.  Many of our members are involved in educational outreach through local zoos, reptile shows and conservation events.

If you want to become a reptile owner and have questions, our meetings are the perfect place to get answers.  Our members have kept nearly every kind of herp and will be happy to provide guidance.
