Adoptions

The South Florida Herpetological Society may occasionally have rescued animals available for adoption.

Reptiles that are available will be listed here or on our Facebook page.

A small adoption fee will be collected to cover some of the costs.

All adoptions require current SFHS membership and the completion of an adoption application.
An online application form will be available soon.

If you are interested in adopting, please e-mail Lenard Hughes

Currently Available:

As of March 8, 2016:  2 Baird's Rat snakes and a male ball python are available.

Please see our Facebook page for more information.

Reptile Rescue Program

The South Florida Herpetological Society will rescue unwanted pet reptiles or amphibians whenever possible.  These animals will be placed in foster care and may be made available for adoption to the public.  We will review each rescue request on a case by case basis.

Due to limitations in housing, we will not be able to take in any green iguanas or red eared sliders at this time.

If you have any reptile or amphibian that needs a new home, please e-mail Lenard Hughes
